The short version
We sell one PDF guide. We collect as little as possible, and we would rather tell you plainly what happens than bury it.
- If you buy, Lemon Squeezy processes the payment and holds your details. They are the merchant of record — the legal seller. We see your email address and order details.
- If you consent, we run the Meta pixel so we can tell whether our advertising works. If you decline, it does not load at all.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not run a newsletter you did not ask for.
Why the pixel needs your consent
This site is about a parent being in the hospital. If you are reading it, that fact is inferable — and we think you should decide whether an advertising company learns it, rather than us deciding for you.
So the Meta pixel is off by default. It loads only if you accept it on the banner. Decline and nothing is sent. You can change your mind at any time using the link at the bottom of this page.
What we collect, and why
| What | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Email address, name, billing country | Only if you buy | To deliver the file and handle refunds |
| Payment details | Only if you buy | Handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy — we never see your card |
| Pages viewed, buttons clicked | Only with consent | To measure whether advertising works |
We do not ask for, and do not want, any information about your parent, their diagnosis, their insurance, or their finances. Nothing you type into the fillable PDF is transmitted anywhere — those fields save locally in your own copy of the file.
Who receives it
- Lemon Squeezy — payment processing, delivery, tax remittance. Merchant of record.
- Meta — only if you consented to the pixel, and only three events: a page view, a checkout being opened, and a completed purchase. No health information, and nothing you type into the PDF, is included in any of them.
- Nobody else. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with data brokers, advertisers, or lead buyers.
Your rights
If you are in California (CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising any of those rights. The pixel consent banner is the opt-out; declining it means no sharing occurs.
Notice at collection: the categories above are everything we collect. We retain purchase records as long as tax law requires, and analytics data for no more than 24 months.
Wherever you are, email us and we will tell you what we hold, delete it, or correct it. No forms, no verification runaround beyond confirming you are who you say you are.
Cookies
No advertising or tracking cookies load unless you consent. A single functional cookie remembers your consent choice so we do not ask again on every page.
Children
This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date below. We will not quietly broaden what we collect.
